• CDS 1
- For Indian Military Academy (IMA), unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1999, and not later than January 1, 2004, are eligible to apply
- For Indian Naval Academy (IMA), unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1999, and not later than January 1, 2004, are eligible to apply
- Candidates applying for Air Force Academy should be between 20 to 24 years as on January 1, 2023. They must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1999, and not later than January 1, 2003
- For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for men), unmarried male candidates born not earlier than January 2, 1998, and not later than January 1, 2004, are eligible to apply
- For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course), candidates should be unmarried and born not earlier than January 2, 1998, and not later than January 1, 2004
• CDS 2
- Candidates for IMA should be unmarried and must have been born not earlier than July 2, 1999, and not later than July 1, 2004
- Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than July 2, 1999, and not later than July 1, 2004, can apply for INA
- To apply for AFA, the age of candidates should be between 20 and 24 years as on July 1, 2023. They must have been born not earlier than July 2, 1999, and not later than July 1, 2003. The upper age limit of candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed upto 26 yrs (i,e born not earlier than July 2, 1997, and not later than July 1, 2003)
- To apply for the OTA course (SSC Men), candidates must be unmarried and must have born not earlier than July 2, 1998, and not later than July 1, 2004
- Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees who have not remarried are eligible to apply. They must have been born not earlier than July 2, 1998, and not later than July 1, 2004
• Candidates for the CDS test must be single and one of the following: A person of Indian descent who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, and the East African nations of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India is considered to be either an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin.
The candidates which come under to a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin should submit their eligibility certificates.
• For IMA and Officers’ Training Academy, the required educational qualification is Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
For Indian Naval Academy, candidates must have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university
For Air Force Academy, candidates must have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university. They must have studied Physics and Mathematics in Class 12

• Click on the CDS 2 exam link
• Fill out the details asked
• Upload the photograph, signature, and Photo Identity card
• Make the application fee for the CDS 2 exam
• Choose the CDS 2 exam centre
• Finally submit the application form
• A confirmation message will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number and email id.

• * Details of Photo-Identity Proof: The Candidate should also have details of one photo ID such as an Aadhar Card/ Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Any other photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government. The details of this photo ID will have to be provided by the candidate while filling up the online application form. Candidates will have to upload a scanned copy of their Photo ID whose details have been provided in the online application by him/her. This photo ID will be used for all future referencing and the candidate is advised to carry this ID while appearing for examination/Personality Test/SSB.

The scanned photograph should be uploaded first in JPG format.The digital size of the file should not exceed 300 kb and must not be less than 20 kb. The resolution should be 350 pixels (Width) X 350 pixels (Height) minimum, 1000 pixels (Width) X 1000 pixels (Height) maximum. The bit depth of the image should be 24 bit.The photo identity card document should be in PDF format. The digital size of a PDF file should not exceed 300 kb and must not be less than 20 kb.
